Gallery: Boys Varsity Soccer Defeats Blue Valley 1-0

The Lancers advance to the Regional Championship game after defeating the Blue Valley Tigers 1-0 on Tuesday, Oct. 29. Senior Quinn McCarthy scored the only goal of the night in the last minute of the first half with an assist from junior Stephen Hlobik. The Lancers will face off against the SM South Raiders on Thursday, Oct. 31 at SMAC and will kick off at 6 p.m. The Lancer’s played the Raiders during the regular season, defeating them 1-0. The Raiders are in the ninth seed, completing their regular season with a record of 9-7 and 0.562 seed points.

Amelie Wong, Online Photo Editor

Senior Amelie Wong is entering her third and final year on staff as Harbinger’s first ever head online photo editor. Though she is still trying to figure out all of the responsibilities for her new role, she is so excited to see what new challenges this year brings. When Amelie is not in the J-room you can probably find her at Target buying more Red Bull or Starbucks getting her third coffee of the day.

Molly Miller, Print Photo Editor

Entering into her fourth and final year, senior Molly Miller is ecstatic to be a Head Print Photo Editor for the Harbinger. When she’s not editing in Photoshop in the backroom, Molly is hanging out with friends, cleaning her room, or going for a walk around Prairie Village listening to Zach Bryan or Megan Moroney.

Ava Towner, Photo Editor

Going into her second year on staff as an assistant photo editor, junior Ava Towner is so excited for this school year. Outside of Harbinger, Ava is involved in tennis and SHARE at East. When Ava is not taking pictures, you can find her hanging out with friends, nannying, walking her dogs, cramming for an AP class, or shopping.

Will Griffith, Online Photo Editor

Entering his sixth semester on staff, senior Will Griffith is excited to take on the role of Head Online Photo Editor. When he’s not making saves as a goalkeeper on the soccer field, he’s behind the camera shooting sports and other stories for The Harbinger. You can also find him up late editing photos and posting galleries or relaxing with friends while playing video games and soccer.
