Girls varsity and JV swim and dive gained 23 new state qualification or consideration cuts while competing against Blue Valley North on Tuesday, April 21. The Lancers placed first with 243 points while the Huskies finished with 194 points. Out of the 12 events during the meet, SM East placed first in five of them. Also, sophomore Teni Oyetunji got a new personal best in the 100 yard breaststroke event by over 0.5 seconds to place first in the event.
Girls swim and dive’s next meet is the Girl’s Varsity Invitational against multiple schools at Shawnee Mission Aquatic Center on Friday, April 24 at 4:00 pm.
