The SM East Lancers gathered in the main gym at the beginning of the school day on Friday, Feb. 27, to celebrate the boys swim and dive team for their state championship win on Saturday, Feb. 21. The boys varsity swim team has now won the state championship 18 times. The assembly started off with the Pep Club Executives introducing the state team. There were speeches from Head Coach Wiley Wright, along with seniors Grant Kimmel and Sawyer Chapman. Following the speeches, the state championship wall was revealed with the new 113 number displayed on the wall. The assembly ended with the school song.
