Band students hosted their annual car wash fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 19. Students stood at the corner of 75th and Mission and waved their hand-made signs to bring in cars. Once the cars arrived, band members stood in different stations, ready to spray, wash, and dry the cars. The car wash was held during the Lancer Dancers’ annual Pancake Breakfast event, so supporters of the dancers could attend the breakfast while also getting their car washed. In total, SME band raised approximately $5,000 which they will put towards food and necessities for the year.
