In another record-breaking meet of the season, the varsity track and field team placed fourth for girls with 79.75 points and fifth for boys with 72.5 points in the meet overall on Friday, April 7 at Blue Valley. In the meet, the boys Distance Medley Relay record was broken for both the meet and school record, with a time of 10:22.01. The DMR team consisted of seniors Wyatt Haughton, Caden Peters, Blair Ptacek and Ike Sheets.
The next meet for varsity will be on Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15, for the KU Relays meet, both beginning at 9:00 AM at Rock Chalk Park at KU. This year’s KU Relays will also be the 100th anniversary since when the KU Relays began.
