Gallery: Boys Varsity Basketball Falls to Olathe East 54-40

Boys varsity basketball fell to Olathe East on Tuesday, Feb. 7. The Lancers led the first quarter 8-7 but trailed the remainder of the game. They were outscored during the second half 34-20, resulting in the final score of 54-40. Their record now stands at 7-8 overall and 3-5 conference. The top scorer was senior Spencer Blacketer with 14 points. The Lancers next game is on Friday, Feb. 10 vs Mill Valley.

After only a semester on staff, senior Kenna Harrington is ready to step into the role of Head Photographer. Senior Clara Peters is so excited for her fourth year on the Harbinger staff as a Head Print Photo Editor. When she’s not editing photos, designing photostories, or holding her camera, you’ll find her hanging out with friends, walking her dogs or listening to music. Outside of Harbinger, she holds the roles of a SHARE Exec and Link Leader. Peters can’t wait to lead this year’s photography staff with the other editors!

Emily Pollock, Photo Mentor

Senior Emily Pollock is going into her last year on The Harbinger as a photo mentor. She is excited to spend her senior year at deadlines, in the J-room and on many photo adventures. Outside of The Harbinger she’s involved in tennis, swimming, DECA and lacrosse. When she isn’t shooting, you can find her at Starbucks, Barnes and Noble or hanging with her friends. Emily cannot wait to see what the year brings on The Harbinger.

Macy Crosser, Photo Editor

Photo Editor Macy Crosser believes there is no better way to spend her senior year than capturing photos or proofing captions in the J-room for Harbinger! If you can’t reach her (and you probably won’t), Crosser is either at drill team choreo, Kansas City Ballet, AP and IB classes, NHS Service chair meetings, TCP President duties or at dive team. Good luck finding her! In any spare time she has, there is a good chance she’s watching the sunset while listening to Taylor Swift, Celsius in hand.
