After getting delayed an hour and a half due to heat, the SME Lancers JV Football team hosted the Lawrence Lions Monday night, September 19th. Lawrence scored the first touchdown in the first quarter leading until sophomore Grant Wolzen scored East’s first touchdown. The Lancer’s defense did not let Lawrence get another point in the rest of the game. East threw and made several interceptions throughout the game. This brings JV’s overall record to 2-1. The next JV football game is on Monday, Sept. 26 at 4:15 p.m. The game will be played against Shawnee Mission North at SME.
