The Choral department held their first “normal” choir concert since fall of 2019 on Wednesday, March 23. With Covid canceling the 2020 spring and fall concert and the fall of 2021 concert requiring masks Senior Toby Rodriquez said he was happy to start ending his East Choir experience on a normal note. SME choir brought back a few of their songs the choirs had prepared for their 2020 spring concert including the song “Tell My Father,” by Andrea Ramsey. The then sophomore class of 2022 learned that song after Choir Director, Ken Foley’s father passed away. Foley had not planned on bringing the song back, until his third quarter student teacher, Alyssa Bamberger, from KU chose that song to direct with the choir. Mr. Foley sang alongside the men’s choir, dedicating his performance to his father.
