Gallery: Boys Varsity Basketball defeats Mill Valley 55-42

Following the victory of the girl’s varsity basketball game, the boy’s varsity basketball team defeated Mill Valley 55-42 on Friday, Feb. 18. Lancer dancer senior night was held before the game to highlight the seniors. Every senior’s dance family gave them a bouquet of flowers while the seniors were announced where they will be attending college and what their favorite memories from lancer dancers. During the first quarter, east was ahead 10-3 and finished the second quarter with a score of 28-20. the lancers stayed ahead in the second half and defeated mill valley 55-42.

The next boy’s varsity basketball game will be played on Tuesday, Feb 22 at Olathe West High School against Olathe West at 7 p.m.

Entering her third and final year on staff, senior Liv Madden is ready to set a good example and be a great leader as Head photo editor. While she is not sitting in the back of the journalism room with her fellow staff members, she enjoys playing Lacrosse, being a member of the student store, and competing in DECA.

Head Photo Editor senior Caroline Martucci can’t wait to lead the photography staff for her fourth year on staff. When she’s not looking through her wide lens capturing the moment, editing galleries or designing photostories in the J room, you can find her driving around with her friends listening to Taylor Swift. Martucci also serves as Senior Class Vice President, chairs three projects for SHARE and serves on the Women in Leadership Council.

Clara Peters, Print Photo Editor

Senior Clara Peters is so excited for her fourth year on the Harbinger staff as a Head Print Photo Editor. When she’s not editing photos, designing photostories, or holding her camera, you’ll find her hanging out with friends, walking her dogs or listening to music. Outside of Harbinger, she holds the roles of a SHARE Exec and Link Leader. Peters can’t wait to lead this year’s photography staff with the other editors!
