The Girls varsity basketball team defeated Mill Valley 54-51 on Friday, Feb. 18. During the last few seconds of the game, Abigail Long scored a three pointer and Ashley Zastrow got a rebound, winning them the game. Long’s three got the team up by one point, and shortly after Zastrow got fouled while getting a rebound which allowed her to make two free throws to get the three point lead. Both teams ended the game with nine fouls each. The Lancers continue to practice for their last week of regular season games. The lady lancer’s league record so far for the season is 4-7.
The next girls varsity basketball game will be played on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at Olathe West at 5:30 p.m.
