Gallery: Varsity Boys Lacrosse defeat Blue Valley East Side 24-2 in the Quarterfinals

The Shawnee Mission East boys varsity lacrosse heads to the quarterfinals for the end-of-season tournament. They defeated Blue Valley East Side 24-2. Shawnee Mission East will now head to the semi-finals. The semi-finals are Wednesday, May 26th at 7:30, they will be playing Northland who is ranked 4th in the tournament.

Senior Charlotte Emley is starting her second year on The Harbinger as a staff photographer. When Charlotte isn’t running around shooting events and editing photos, she enjoys hanging out with friends, going to Power Life and is on the Shawnee Mission East swim team. She is very excited to be a senior on staff and see all she accomplishes.

Emily Pollock, Photo Mentor

Senior Emily Pollock is going into her last year on The Harbinger as a photo mentor. She is excited to spend her senior year at deadlines, in the J-room and on many photo adventures. Outside of The Harbinger she’s involved in tennis, swimming, DECA and lacrosse. When she isn’t shooting, you can find her at Starbucks, Barnes and Noble or hanging with her friends. Emily cannot wait to see what the year brings on The Harbinger.

Maggie Merckens

Entering her third year on harbinger as a head photo editor Maggie is excited to take on the year with her co-editor Elise Madden. Outside of Harbinger, Maggie is involved in cheer, SHARE, and art clubs. If she’s not taking photos on the sidelines of games, at cheer, or working on art projects you can find her exploring the outdoors and hanging out with friends.

Kate Beaulieu, Staff Photographer

Senior Kate Beaulieu is going into her third and final year on Harbinger as a Staff Photographer. When Kate isn’t taking sports photos, specifically lacrosse ones, she can be found babysitting, rewatching 10 Things I Hate About You, and hanging out with friends. During school hours, Kate is taking AP classes, playing tennis, being social media coordinator for the Freelancer, being a chair for Unified Teams, and playing varsity lacrosse.
