The Lancers solidified their fifth seed ranking for the playoffs in their last regular season game against the Olathe East Falcons on Thursday, Oct. 23. The game started with senior Stephen Hlobik scoring 30 minutes in, from an assist by senior Andrew Hastert. At half-time, the score was 1-0. With 34 minutes left in the second half, Hlobik attempted to score again, but he was fouled by the Falcon’s goalie inside the box. Hlobik was awarded a penalty kick and scored. The Hawks then scored soon after, making the score 2-1. Halfway through the second half, junior Miles Attig scored his second varsity goal. This secured the Lancer’s victory over the Falcons 3-1. This is the sixth consecutive victory for the Lancers, with their record now at 11-2-1, and they hold the first seed for post-season rankings.
