The boys’ lacrosse team beat the Pembroke Hill Raiders 10-6 to win the Lacrosse Association of Kansas City Championship for the third year in a row.

Check out a gallery from the LAKC semifinals between SM East and the Rockhurst Hawklets. The Lancers beat the Hawklets 7-5 and now advance to the LAKC finals. The finals will be played Friday at the UMKC turf field against the Pembroke Raiders.

The girls’ lacrosse team struggles to maintain a full roster at practices and games despite their previous popularity. Four years ago when the team was created, there were many players but now the girls play both the JV and varsity games each time.
The track and field team competed in KU Relays this weekend, while baseball struggled in Lawrence. Boys’ lacrosse came off a disappointing loss to Rockhurst last week and the softball team is set for senior night tonight. See what else you missed last week in East sports here.
The East Lancers fell to the Rockhurst Hawklets 7-6 after an overtime loss. Alex Lackey scored the winning goal with 3 minutes left in the game. The Lancers will take on Lincoln High School on April 20 at 1 PM at Shawnee Mission West.

Last year the East lacrosse team became the first team to ever beat Rockhurst in the Kansas City area. This year they will look for the same result when they travel to Rockhurst Jesuit High School Thursday night at 7:35 p.m. The game will be live streamed on smeharbinger.net
