One Week, One Album: Episode 1 — GINGER by BROCKHAMPTON

EIC Ben Henschel and Broadcast Editor Alex Dinyer take on one album a week — then review it on a podcast, giving overall thoughts and a track-by-track breakdown.

Episode 1 covers GINGER — Brockhampton’s fifth studio album. It’s a somber, emotional digression from most of their past work — and we think it’s a welcome addition to their discography. Specifically with tracks like “NO HALO,” “DEARLY DEPARTED” and “IF YOU PRAY RIGHT,” the group has gained a decade’s worth of maturity in the two years since the SATURATION trilogy.

Ben: 7.5/10
