Going into her fourth year on Harbinger as co-Online-Editor-in-Chief, senior Riley Atkinson can’t wait to dive into interviews and Indesign — but she’s gotta grab a Strawberry Acai refresher first. Although Harbinger tends to take the largest chunk of time out of her self-induced stressful schedule, she’s also involved with SHARE, DECA and AP classes at East. If she’s not working on anything related to school, she’s probably petting her oversized cat named Bagel or falling down a loophole on TikTok. »
Going into her seventh semester on staff, senior Sydney Williams is excited to serve as the Assistant Video Editor. If you can’t find her buried in her coziest blanket while being serenaded by the hissing sounds of Premiere Pro tearing up her MacBook, she’s either raging as she attempts to bowl a perfect game, binging her favorite animes while munching on japchae, shredding her Ibanez bass, or demolishing her brothers in Last of Us. As she is reminiscent of previous years, she hopes to finish her final year with a bang. »
![For the first time in 10 years, East will have an all-female Student Council Executive Board for the 2024-25 school year.
The board consists of future senior and president Ingrid Blacketer, future junior and vice president Paige Bean, future junior and secretary Claire Polanco and future junior and treasurer Fina Kessler.
“We see each other once a week every week,” Blacketer said. “We set up together, we volunteer together and we volunteered at the can drive together. So we’ve always been in the same room [and] we’ve known each other for over a year now.”
