Lancer Debates is a Harbinger podcast series hosted by sophomore Luciana Mendy. In each episode, two different lancer students share their thoughts and opinions while debating each other on fun pop culture topics. During this episode, staffers Lyla Weeks and Lucy Stephens are debating which social media platform is the best.
Starting her first year on the Harbinger staff, Sophomore Luciana Mendy is excited to step into her roles as a staff writer, multimedia staffer and social media staffer. Though she loves writing interesting stories and making creative videos and posts, Luciana also enjoys just kicking around a soccer ball with friends, being a member of the SME debate program and most importantly watching random YouTube videos while procrastinating on her homework. »
Beginning her first year on staff sophomore Lucy Stephens is beyond thrilled to join as a writer, designer and a part of the social media staff. When not frantically typing on her MacBook or procrastinating a homework assignment she can be found driving around with her friends blasting Taylor Swift on aux or catching up on her favorite TV shows. Along with Harbinger Lucy is also a part of the SME Lancer Dancers, SHARE and SME girls swim team. »
Sophomore Lyla Weeks is starting her second year on Harbinger Staff and she couldn't be more excited. Outside of school, Lyla spends her time dancing on the SME Lancer Dancers dance team at East, studio dance and figure skating. She is beginning her first year on the SME Tennis team and is involved in many AP and Honors classes at East. She looks forward to all of the amazing opportunities Harbinger will provide for her and her peers this semester. »
