Kendall Dunn
Personal style is isn’t about looking good or being on trend 24/7. It’s about expressing yourself through your clothing. These three east students, Annie Savage (senior), Patrick Hornung (senior), and Chloe Kerwin (junior) have all developed their own unique personal style.
Annie Savage
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Somewhat boho or “indie”
Q: Where is your favorite place to shop?
Q: Do you prefer shopping online or in store?
A: I prefer in store shopping [in store] because I can try on the clothes and I am often too lazy to send the clothes back.
Q: What are your favorite types of clothes to wear?
A: My favorite things to wear are any sort of dress/shirt that is loose fitting, makes some sort of statement and is something that you don’t usually see people wearing.
Q: What season do you think has the best clothes?
A: I really love fall/winter clothes because I love big sweaters, neutral colored clothes, and they are usually the most comfortable. Also, I love
wearing boots so the fall/winter is best for that.
Q: What’s your favorite thing to get ready for?
A: My favorite event to get ready for is usually some sort of dinner outing with friends. I love being able to dress cute but not having to dress super fancy.
Q: From whom or where do you get your inspiration?
A: My main inspiration isn’t a person, it’s usually some model I see on Pinterest.
Patrick Hornung
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Traditional gentlemen’s clothes mixed with urban pieces.
Q: Where is your favorite place to shop?
A: Peter Millar
Q: Do you prefer shopping online or in store?
A: Online because I can use the pictures I took of my dad’s credit card.
Q: What are your favorite colors to wear?
A: Blues and whites
Q: What season do you think has the best clothes?
A: Summer is the best season to dress for because there are hardly any restrictions on colors, and you can be versatile with shorts during the day and pants at night.
Q: What’s your favorite thing to get ready for?
A: I like to getting ready for any occasion but my
favorite is probably just going out.
Q: From whom or where do you get your inspiration?
A: My inspiration comes from catalogs and also just trying to come up with new ideas of how to mix pieces.
Chloe Kerwin
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Vintage chic/modern
Q: Where is your favorite place to shop?
A: Free People and Re Runs
Q: Do you prefer shopping online or in store?
A: I like browsing online so I can see what to look for in the stores so I can try the clothes on in person. Then I can get the clothes right then and there and not have to wait a week.
Q: What are your favorite colors to wear?
A: ALL of them but mainly darker colors because lighter colors wash me out because I’m super pale.
Q: What season do you think has the best clothes?
A: Definitely fall because you can wear knits, boots, huge sweaters, boyfriend jeans.
Q: What’s your favorite thing to get ready for?
A: The weekend and going out. I just like to go out looking nice and fresh.
Q: From whom or where do you get your inspiration?
A: Cara Delevingne. She is super funky and weird and doesn’t care what anyone thinks. She has awesome clothing and is such an individual.
