Junior Ian Gould and freshman Noah Gould work with their dad, Matthew Gould, to spread the joy of LEGO to underprivileged kids, through their non-profit, the Giving Brick.
Going into his seventh semester on staff, senior Lawder DeSantis is excited to serve as Video Editor. Aside from Harbinger, he enjoys making Lego stop-motion animations, watching films, and hanging out with friends. He is excited to continue on the path of Video, setting out to inspire, challenge, and entertain using the medium of video. »
Lucy Patterson is a senior and going into her third year on The Harbinger staff as the print and online opinion section editor and a copy editor. Last year, Lucy won an excellence rating in sports writing at the JEA/NSPA conference in San Francisco in addition to her previous honorable mention rating at the 2016 convention in Indianapolis. Lucy also sits on the Quill and Scroll Journalism Honor Society national advisory board. Outside of the J-Room, Lucy serves as Co-President of The East Fund Student Ambassadors, is a Co-Captain of the Varsity swim team, a S.H.A.R.E chair and involved in the International Baccalaureate program. Lucy is a lover of sunny days, La Croix and mindless reality tv. In her limited spare time, Lucy can often be found jamming to throwback music with friends or taking Snapchats with her cat Simba. »
![For the first time in 10 years, East will have an all-female Student Council Executive Board for the 2024-25 school year.
The board consists of future senior and president Ingrid Blacketer, future junior and vice president Paige Bean, future junior and secretary Claire Polanco and future junior and treasurer Fina Kessler.
“We see each other once a week every week,” Blacketer said. “We set up together, we volunteer together and we volunteered at the can drive together. So we’ve always been in the same room [and] we’ve known each other for over a year now.”
