The girl’s varsity volleyball team went up against Shawnee Mission Northwest on Tuesday, October 3rd. After two tough sets, East lost 2-0 to Northwest. “We were encouraging each other and were there for each other during the match. I think our coach handled [the loss] really well at the next day’s practice and I’m hoping that will help us with the rest of the season,” – Sophomore Ali Slaughter.
