Gallery: Varsity SM Lacrosse Falls to Rockhurst 10-7

The SM East boys varsity lacrosse team played against the Rockhurst Hawklets. To start the game off, the Hawklets took possession on the first face-off. The first goal scored by SM East was by freshman Teddy Long with 4:52 on the clock. The score at the end of the first quarter was Rockhurst 2-1. In the beginning of the second quarter, SM East won the first face-off of the quarter. During the second quarter, SM East scored two goals from Junior Ben Bagby and sophomores Thomas Vanice and Graham Wilkinson. Going into halftime, the score was SM East 4-3. 

Starting up the third quarter, Rockhurst won the opening faceoff against the Lancers. At four minutes and fifty-nine seconds on the clock, sophomore Mark Mallory scored for the lancers fifth goal. Rockhurst scored four goals in the third quarter putting the Lancers’ behind 8-5. Starting off the fourth quarter,  Rockhurst snatches the ball in the face-off.  In the fourth quarter, Mallory scored two times, one with 4:07 on the clock and the other with 1:20. In the end, the final score was 10-7, with SM East falling to Rockhurst. SM East boys varsity lacrosse team’s next game is on May 1st at Shawnee Mission Athletic Center facing off against Pembroke Hill.

When Zac isn’t procrastinating his Harbinger homework or dashing around town to take photos, you can find him conducting shenanigans with his friends, ordering in the nearest Chipotle line, or jamming out to Morgan Wallen!
