Gallery: Varsity Girls Soccer Defeats Olathe West 6-0

With a record of 8-0-1 the girls varsity soccer team is tied for number one in the Class 6A regional season. Adding to their record the Lancers took on the Olathe West Owls on April 21 and defeated them 6-0. Throughout the first half of the game the Lancers battled with the Owls and held them 0-0, until junior Lauren Mercer scored putting the Lancers in the lead. After the first two minutes of the second half junior Mia Mosher scored on a penalty kick putting the Lancers up 2-0. Throughout the rest of the second half the Lancers scored an additional four goals, one by freshman Stella Harris who scored her first varsity goal. The Lancers held the Owls and did not let them score ending with a score of 6-0.

The girls varsity soccer team’s next game is on Tuesday, April 28 against Olathe South at 7 p.m. at Olathe District Activity Center.
