Gallery: Varsity Girls Soccer Defeats Lawrence Free State 4-0

Coming off an overtime loss against Olathe South, the girls varsity soccer team defeated the Lawrence Free State Firebirds 4-0 on Thursday, April 18. Juniors Sophia Griggs and Sophia Beedle scored in the first half to make the score 2-0. Going into the second half, sophomore Kate Lucas took a penalty kick, making the score 3-0. Junior Sylvia MohrSting scored the Lancers’ final goal. Freshmen Addy Newman and Lauren Mercer and senior Margot Beaver each had assists. The team’s record now sits at 6-4.

The next varsity game will be played against Olathe West on April 23 at 7 p.m. at the College Boulevard Activity Center.
