Gallery: Varsity Football Falls to Olathe North 56-14 at the Homecoming Game

Seniors Sydney Beck and Octavio Galicia were crowned Homecoming King and Queen at the football game on Thursday, Oct. 7 against Olathe North, where the Lancers fell 56-14. In the first play of the game, Olathe North scored a touchdown on the kick return. At halftime, the Lancers were behind 48-0. In the second half, sophomore Joey Hoffman caught an interception and the Lancers scored their first touchdown of the game. Senior Tate Moody then scored a two-point conversion. At the end of the 4th quarter, sophomore Teddy Saylor scored the final touchdown, and the Lancers lost 56-14. After the game, Coach Hoover spoke to the boys and said “We have two season games left. We really need one of those games.” The next football game is Friday, October 15 at Lawrence Free State.

When Mantel is not on the sidelines shooting sports games she is involved in SHARE at East and could be found hanging out with her friends on the weekends. Lily is excited to spend her final year at East shooting sports games and events happening at SME and out in the community. »

Senior Kate Beaulieu is going into her third and final year on Harbinger as a Staff Photographer. When Kate isn’t taking sports photos, specifically lacrosse ones, she can be found babysitting, rewatching 10 Things I Hate About You, and hanging out with friends. During school hours, Kate is taking AP classes, playing tennis, being social media coordinator for the Freelancer, being a chair for Unified Teams, and playing varsity lacrosse. »

Senior Mj Wolf is so excited to start her sixth semester on staff as a photographer. In addition to Harbinger, Mj is one of the SHARE chairs on the Breast Cancer Awareness Bake Sale and Unleashed projects. When she isn’t shooting galleries, you’ll find her watching movies with friends, cooking with family or trying a new coffee shop. Mj can’t wait to see what this year brings and is pumped to capture her senior year. »
