Gallery: Varsity Football Falls to Mill Valley 3-63

The SME Lancers hosted the Mill Valley Jaguars on Thursday, Oct. 20th due to no school on Friday. The Lancers scored 3 points after a 25 yard Field Goal to start the game off in the first quarter, the Jaguars proceeded to score 8 touchdowns with 8 successful PATs over the rest of the game until they ran the clock. During halftime, the Lancer band and dancers performed their last game show of the season called “What Dreams Become.” The fall to Mill Valley puts Shawnee Mission East at 2-6 overall on the season. After the game the band performed in their annual glow show.

The next varsity football game will be Friday, Oct. 28th at 7 p.m. The week 9 opponent and location has not yet been determined.

Outside of The Harbinger she’s involved in tennis, swimming, DECA and lacrosse. When she isn’t shooting, you can find her at Starbucks, Barnes and Noble or hanging with her friends. Emily cannot wait to see what the year brings on The Harbinger. »

Lydia Coe
Senior Lydia Coe is entering her second semester on staff as a photographer, and is excited to apply her new skills that she has learned in Dallas. Some other things Lydia is a part of are SHARE, DECA, National Honors Society, National Charity League and one of the new managers of East’s coffee shop, Columbia Brew. In her free time, you would catch her nannying, hanging out with friends, listening to music, going on walks or hosting at the South Plaza Mission Taco Joint. Lydia is very excited to see what this new semester holds. »
