Gallery: Varsity Football Defeats Shawnee Mission South

In the ongoing rivalry, Shawnee Mission East varsity football defeated Shawnee Mission South 34-19. At the end of the first quarter, East led 6-0, and at halftime, the Lancers led 12-7. During halftime, some of the student section ran to the South bathrooms to chant Baño but were soon asked to leave the bathroom. In the second half, East was able to score more points than the first. The players and coaches were unpleased with the referees that after the game, the coach told the players it is their job to play, not argue.

Their next game is the homecoming against Olathe North at Shawnee Mission North at 7 p.m.
