Gallery: Boys Varsity Basketball Defeats Rockhurst 69-50

The boy’s varsity basketball team defeated Rockhurst High School 69-50 on Friday, Jan. 28. This was the team’s biggest game of the season because of the long-lived rivalry between East and Rockhurst. This game had the most students attend, and the cheerleaders and Lancer Dancers performed during half-time, with the Lancer Dancers debuting their hip-hop nationals routine. The Lancers ended the first half down 29-25, but quickly made a comeback during the end of the third quarter 42-36. The Lancers and Hawklets kept the score close all game, but the Lancers had a break through in the fourth quarter scoring three point shots, executing plays, and Dillon Mong being the lead scorer, scoring 18 points in the game that lead the team to secure the win.
