The Shawnee Mission East Lancers faced off against the Blue Valley Tigers Friday night in a game under the clouds with unpredictable rain. The Lancers started the game off behind 4-1 at the end of the first, to then hold Blue Valley to zero in the second inning. The Lancers got the bats going in the third inning scoring three runs and giving up one. The Lancers then gave up four runs in the fifth inning as the rain started to pick up again causing problems with baseballs. The Fifth inning concluded scoring for the game. Senior Jack Laird started the game going for 3 innings 3 hits 5 runs Carter Rose 3 innings 6 hits 4 runs Luc Prendiville 1 inning 0 hits 0 runs.
Lancers face Blue Valley Northwest this Saturday at Mill Valley High School first pitch is at 4:30 p.m.

Sophomore Will Griffith is excited to start his second semester on staff with Harbinger. When Will isn't running down the sidelines to take a photo, you can usually find him playing goalie on a soccer pitch or in the outfield of a baseball diamond.
