Gallery: Varsity Baseball Defeats Olathe West 2-1

With the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, senior Samson Eby hit a walk-off single for a Lancer victory. In the first inning, the Lancers scored one run with an RBI double by sophomore Colton Sims. The Olathe West Owls tied the game in the top of the third inning with a scoring run double. Senior Jack Laird pitched seven innings and allowed one run on four hits. Laird had 12 strikeouts and zero walks. Eby, Sims, junior Joey Hoffman and sophomores Cole Chinnock and Carter Rose each had one hit. The Lancers defeated Olathe West 2-1 at 3 & 2 Baseball Complex on Friday, April 7.

Varsity baseball’s next game is against Lawrence Free State on Tuesday, April 11 at 4:30 p.m. The game will be played at 3 & 2 Baseball Complex Field 1.
