Gallery: South Relays Track Meet at Shawnee Mission North

On Saturday April 1, the Shawnee Mission East track team got up early to get ready for the relays that took place at Shawnee Mission North. The lancers competed against SM Northwest, Gardner Edgerton, SM North, SM West, SM South, Blue Valley High, Rockhurst, Olathe Northwest, Saint Thomas Aquinas, and Truman, F.L. Schlagle. The events held at the meet included running relays, hurdles, long jump, high jump, pole-vault, javelin, shot-put, and discus. Jessie Stindt broke the south relays record in the triple jump, and senior Destiny Ray broke the south relays record in the 200 meter. The Shawnee Mission East track and field team earned second overall at south relays.

Katherine Odell

Katherine Odell is a senior at Shawnee Mission East and this will be her second year on staff as a staff photographer. In addition to Harbinger, Katherine is involved in Share, and a member of Deca. She enjoys spending her free time hanging out with friends, eating spin pizza, or binge-watching netflix. Katherine can’t wait for the year ahead and to meet new staff members. »

Audrey Kesler

Audrey Kesler is a senior at Shawnee Mission East High School and is an assistant photo editor for print for the Harbinger. Audrey also does photography in her free time while hanging out with friends. This year will be her third year on staff and she is excited to meet new staff members and continue making new memories. »

Maddie Smiley

Maddie Smiley is a senior at Shawnee Mission East and is the assistant online photo editor. This is Maddie’s third year on staff and she has loved every second of it. In front of the camera, Maddie is involved with theatre, tennis, Link Crew, SHARE and choir. On the weekends, you can find her at any ice cream shop in KC. Maddie is pumped to meet the new staffers and can’t wait to create an awesome publication. »
