Gallery: The Whips at Gem Theater

The historic Gem Theater, located on 18th street, was the setting for the Come Rep Ya School Concert, promoting local high school bands. While the main guest was Olivia Sabates, East band “the Whips” also performed. The concert was held on Sunday, April 30th and brought in about 100 teenagers and adults to the theater. Made up of juniors Quinn Cosgrove, Miles Patterson, and Vincent Lee, senior from Blue Valley North, Max Indiveri, and sophomore from Sion, Anna McQueeny, the Whips were allowed to play three songs, they chose “Gravity” by John Meyer, “Bennie and the Jets” by Elton John and “Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys.
