Gallery: SHARE Volunteers Create Valentines Day Goodie Bags for The Children’s Place

Creating over 50 bags and running out of supplies, the SHARE volunteers decorated and filled goodie bags for The Children’s Place on Feb. 8 during Seminar. There were a variety of markers and stickers to decorate the bags and they were filled with candy, gum, chapstick, and snacks for teachers and therapists. Macy Crosser, one of the co-chairs of the project, said the teachers and therapists “work directly with young kids who have experienced trauma early in their life and give them therapy and early education. Most of the kids do not live in safe home places or have parents available to them.” The Children’s Place had a food drive in December and junior chairs Maggie Klump, Macy Crosser and Kate Schirger are hoping to set up more events soon.
