Gallery: SHARE volunteers create cat toys and cat houses for Wayside Waifs

Using seminar study hall time, SHARE volunteers created cat toys and cat houses for Wayside Waifs on March 1. Freshman Blake Danforth, the chair of the event, said that "[his] mom started the idea of it and [he] pretty much went off it". Blake came up with the materials that would be used for the project. SHARE directors Sheryl Kaplan and Erin Billingsley helped in making the event possible. Blake explained to volunteers how they would craft toys with toilet paper rolls and yarn. Build-A-Bear boxes were used as the base to decorate for cat homes. Markers, stickers, and different types of tapes were available supplies for decorating the homes. After a house was completely decked out, SHARE directors cut out the cardboard door and windows.
