Gallery: Mr. CANsas Pageant

SHARE held their annual Mr. CANsas Pageant on Monday, Feb. 13. The contestants consisted of 17 senior boys from various sports and activities at East. The seniors competed in three different categories: best dressed, interview and talent show. Audience members voted for their favorite contestants with canned goods that were donated to the Village Food Pantry. A total of 907 cans were raised. Senior Luc Prendiville (Mr. Coffee Shop) received the most votes, raising 149 cans and was crowned Mr. CANsas. Jake Dirks and Wilson Moore (Mr. Deca(s)) were the runners-up raising 130 cans.

Junior Amelie Wong is beyond excited for her second year on staff, this time as an assistant photo editor! You will most likely find Amelie sitting at her computer that’s about to crash from trying to upload and edit photos at the same time. When she’s not screaming at her computer thinking that it’ll make her photos upload faster, she’s probably drinking an ungodly amount of Red Bull and listening to Noah Kahan while working (struggling) on whatever homework assignment she put off until the last minute. »

Junior Caroline Martucci is excited to be an Assistant Photo Editor for her third year on staff. Caroline’s favorite thing about The Harbinger is the time she spends capturing East events. She plays basketball and tennis at East while serving as class vice president and volunteering as a SHARE chair. Caroline also enjoys traveling and time spent with family and friends. »

Ryan Dehan

Ryan Dehan
Going into his second and final year on the Harbinger, senior Ryan Dehan is coming into the new year with new responsibilities on the staff. Now a Photo Mentor, Staff Photographer and Video Producer, Ryan will be able to work on videos with the video crew, as well as shoot big sports games, pep assemblies and more. When Ryan isn’t in the back room of the J room, he is playing football, working out, hanging out with friends or playing soccer. On top of Harbinger, Ryan is a SHARE Exec, Link Crew Leader and he plays varsity football and runs track. »

Riley Eck

Riley Eck
Senior Riley Eck is eager to start her second year on staff as a photo mentor. When she is not taking photos or writing captions, you may find her in the SHARE room talking about upcoming volunteer events, in the Student Store trying to get people to do their jobs or working on endless amounts of homework. In the little free time Riley has, the chances are she is buying candles, teaching her dog new tricks in German or signing herself up for new, time consuming, activities. »
