Gallery: Lancer Day Parade

Lancer Day is arguably the biggest day of the year according to SM East students, where the student body dresses up to march in a parade down Mission Road. To start off the day members of the band, lancer dancers and cheer marched the halls of the school as Pep Club provided donuts outside the circle drive in the morning. The overall theme of the parade was movies: “Lights! Camera! Lancers!”. Starting at 1:15, all floats paraded down Mission Road to meet in the Prairie Village Shops for a pep rally led by senior pep execs. Student Body President junior Jack Kessler, Principal Mr. Peres, Mayor of Prairie Village Eric Mikkelson, and Coach Hoover all spoke at the pep rally, along with senior pep execs Audrey Condon, Eddie Leopold, Peyton Moore, Graham Mosher, Hassan Sufi and Morgan Turpin.

That night, the Lancers played Lawrence High School at SM North Stadium for the first home game of the season. The Lancers lost 45-14, with touchdowns from seniors Cole Clesi and CJ Leonard.
