Gallery: Lancer Dancer Miss Kansas Dance Competition

On Monday, January 20th and 21st, the Varsity, JV, and C Team Lancer Dancers all performed at the Miss Kansas Dance competition at Olathe South. Varsity took three dances; jazz, kick and hip-hop. JV also took three dances; jazz, hip-hop and lyrical. C Team took two of their dances; jazz and lyrical. The Varsity jazz dance was invited to perform again at the show case on the end of the day Monday, the 21st. Only the top ten dances get selected to dance in the showcase.

All the dances and teams did well at awards. Although KASHA rules prevent awarding first, second, third, and etc. at the awards ceremony, Varsity scored in the top two medium group varsity teams and JV scored in the top two JV teams. In addition, both the Varsity and JV team were voted “Best in Competition.”
