Gallery: JV football defeats Tonganoxie 38-6

On Monday, October 19th, Lancer JV football defeated Tonganoxie 38-6. The Lancers scored a touchdown on the very first run and continued to increase their lead all throughout the first half. Starting off the second half 30-0, the Lancers stayed ahead the entire game. By the end of the fourth quarter, the Lancers won 38-6. This was their fourth victory of the season, with a record of 4-0. The Lancers’ next game is at Olathe West on Saturday, October 24th at 10:00 am.

Photo Editor Macy Crosser believes there is no better way to spend her senior year than capturing photos or proofing captions in the J-room for Harbinger! If you can’t reach her (and you probably won’t), Crosser is either at drill team choreo, Kansas City Ballet, AP and IB classes, NHS Service chair meetings, TCP President duties or at dive team. Good luck finding her! In any spare time she has, there is a good chance she’s watching the sunset while listening to Taylor Swift, Celsius in hand. »

Tristen Porter
Senior Tristen Porter is going into her third year on staff as a photographer. Tristen is so excited to finish her years off strong and can’t wait to see what the year has in store. Tristen loves capturing moments for people to reminisce on for years to come. When she is not carving out time to go shoot any sports event possible, Tristen enjoys hanging out with her friends and being a host at Grunauer with her awesome coworkers, or modeling for Style Muse Magazine. »

MJ Wolf

MJ Wolf
Senior Mj Wolf is so excited to start her sixth semester on staff as a photographer. In addition to Harbinger, Mj is one of the SHARE chairs on the Breast Cancer Awareness Bake Sale and Unleashed projects. When she isn’t shooting galleries, you’ll find her watching movies with friends, cooking with family or trying a new coffee shop. Mj can’t wait to see what this year brings and is pumped to capture her senior year. »

Lily Mantel

Lily Mantel
Going into her second and final year on staff senior Lily Mantel is so excited to help new photographers the ways of Harbinger as a photo mentor. When Mantel is not on the sidelines shooting sports games she is involved in SHARE at East and could be found hanging out with her friends on the weekends. Lily is excited to spend her final year at East shooting sports games and events happening at SME and out in the community. »

This is junior Emma Kate Squires’ second semester as a staff photographer. To give you a quick idea of the level of overcommitment she puts on herself, she’s in six school clubs and is incredibly committed to both debate and Harbinger. In the rare moments when she isn’t stressing over school, she loves to experiment with art: painting, embroidery, chalk art, and of course, photography.
