Gallery: JV Football Defeats Shawnee Mission South 20-14

Junior varsity football won their third game this season. The final score of the game was 20-14. “Our season has been going well so far, but we have a few things we need to work on.” Junior Reece Kaneda states. “Our offense is stronger than our defense, so we have been focusing on defense in practice,” Kaneda adds. The first touchdown from the lancers was from sophomore Ryan Dehan. At halftime, the lancers were down 14-10. Sophomore Hayden Falley scores the touchdown in the second half that brings the score to 20-14 with 7 minutes left in the game. The lancers had a strong defense at the end of the game that prevented Shawnee Mission South from scoring another touchdown.

Junior varsity’s next game is Saturday, 9 at 10 a.m against Olathe North at Shawnee Mission East.
