Gallery: Gymnastics Invitational

The largest-ever Shawnee Mission East gymnastics team participated in their first competition of the year at SM West. Co-Captained by seniors Jill Rice and Caroline Gorman, the team performed in 4 categories: bar, beam, floor, and vault to total a team score of 93.425. Freshman Andi Prendiville had the highest combined score of the team, ending with 32.225 points. SM West, South, and East practice together and are coached by Braxton Quelle. Olathe North won the invitational overall. Their next invitational is 09/10/22, they compete in Lawrence.

When she's not spending every waking hour shooting a sports event or desperately finding names for a caption, she can be found nannying, working out, or front row at the Lancer sports games. Within the walls of East, Audrey juggles AP classes, Varsity Softball, Link Crew, NHS, and Pep Exec duties. Seri Steinbrecher
Starting her second semester as a staff photographer, sophomore Seri Steinbrecher couldn’t be more excited for what this year has to offer. If she’s not busy editing photos or writing captions, she enjoys playing tennis, going for late night drives, listening to new music and bugging staffer Addie Moore to shoot “student life” with her. »
