Gallery: Girls Varsity Soccer Defeats SM West 6-0

Being the fourth game of the season, girls varsity soccer hit it off with a bang. Starting off the game SM East senior Addison Stover scored their first goal, less than ten minutes into the start of the game. Following closely after juniors Lauren Mercer, and Mia Mosher made a goal against SM West. During a corner kick by SM East a SM West player accidentally scores an own goal going up for a header in the box, giving SM East another point just as the first half ends. Starting off the second half with a four point lead, the Lancers kept their dominance over the Vikings, by scoring a goal by Louisa Holzbeierlein, then followed with another by Mia Mosher. The Lancers and Vikings battled out the six minutes of the game, neither of them scoring points. The Lancers defeat the Vikings, 6-0.

The girls varsity soccer team has their next game on Thursday, April 9 against Gardner Edgerton High School at 7 p.m. at Shawnee Mission Soccer Complex.
