Gallery: Girls Varsity Soccer Defeats Olathe West 1-0

Towards the beginning of the first half, sophomore Reese Birch was fouled in the penalty box, giving the lancers a penalty kick. Senior Kourtney Koch took the shot and scored, putting the team in the lead 1-0 against their rivals, Olathe West. This was the first and only goal of the game, and the girls varsity soccer team won 1-0 against Olathe West. The stands were open to fans, and students dressed in red, white, and blue came to support the team last Thursday.

This was the team’s last game of the regular season, and they will begin the playoffs next week. Their first playoff game is on Tuesday, May 18 at 6 p.m at Shawnee Mission Soccer Complex.

Good luck finding her! In any spare time she has, there is a good chance she’s watching the sunset while listening to Taylor Swift, Celsius in hand. »
