The varsity girls’ swim and dive team finished in second at state with 283 points on Saturday. The team, not knowing for sure how they were going to place going into the meet, “ended up getting a lot closer to Lawrence than the initial scoring had [them],” according to junior Kathleen Deedy. Although the team didn’t take the state title this year, junior Ashleigh Espinoza says “I think we’ll have a really good shot of winning [state] next year”. To view the results of the meet, click here.
