Gallery: Girls JV Soccer Defeats Olathe North 4-0

The girls junior varsity soccer team competed against Olathe North on April 30 at SMAC at 5:00 p.m.. To kick off the match, Olathe North started with possession of the ball. In the first half, possession of the ball went back and forth. With 4:06 on the clock, freshman Liv Pfeifer was ruled to have a penalty kick. She scored the penalty and gave SM East their first goal. At the end of the first period the score was SM East 1-0. 

Starting off the second half, SM East began with possession of the ball. Throughout the half, SM East held possession of the ball more than Olathe North. Near the middle of the second half, freshman Finley Dippel scored a goal with 30:29 remaining on the clock. Shortly after the goal, an Olathe North player got injured. After the injury was taken care of, the game continued with 28:49 on the clock. Then, junior Maya Monyakula scored a goal. With 11:44 left on the clock, freshman Lyla Speicher scored a goal. In the end, the final score was 4-0. The girls junior varsity soccer team’s next game is May 4 at Lawrence Free State at 5:30p.m..
