Gallery: Girls JV Basketball Falls to Olathe South 48-22

Girls JV Basketball hosted Olathe South on Tuesday, Jan. 10 for the first game of the season after winter break. At halftime, the Lancers were down 20-11. By the end of the 4th quarter, the Lancers were down by 26 points, and ended up loosing to Olathe South 48-22. East had a total of seven 2-point shots, two 3-pointers, made by freshman Hannah Achatz and sophomore Naomi Kincaid, and two free throws shots. The team’s record now stands at 1-5.

The next JV game is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 13. The game will be hosted at Shawnee Mission North West at 4 p.m.

She is working on her own to have electric carports installed and fundraising by hosting events such as her original fashion show in the fall of 2023. »

Junior Amelie Wong is beyond excited for her second year on staff, this time as an assistant photo editor! You will most likely find Amelie sitting at her computer that’s about to crash from trying to upload and edit photos at the same time. When she’s not screaming at her computer thinking that it’ll make her photos upload faster, she’s probably drinking an ungodly amount of Red Bull and listening to Noah Kahan while working (struggling) on whatever homework assignment she put off until the last minute. »

Senior Kate Beaulieu is going into her third and final year on Harbinger as a Staff Photographer. When Kate isn’t taking sports photos, specifically lacrosse ones, she can be found babysitting, rewatching 10 Things I Hate About You, and hanging out with friends. During school hours, Kate is taking AP classes, playing tennis, being social media coordinator for the Freelancer, being a chair for Unified Teams, and playing varsity lacrosse. »
