Gallery: Football Tryout Week

The freshman, junior varsity, and varsity football teams had tryouts in the afternoon, after the first week of school. Freshmen had tryouts at an earlier time than junior varsity and varsity. Therefore, most junior varsity and varsity football players were at school until 6 in the evening. At the end of the week, on Friday, Aug. 19, the Gatorade scrimmage was held on the lower turf field of SM East. This was the end of tryout week and a fun opportunity for players to scrimmage in front of peers. Students and parents brought Gatorade as an admission fee to the scrimmage.

The varsity football team has a week off, prior to their first game on Friday, Sep. 2 against Gardner Edgerton at 7.
