The Journalism Department’s annual showcase displayed old traditions, and even some fresh ideas. The Journalism Showcase was for students and parents to come and look at display boards that were created by students in the East Journalism program. We had a section for Yearbook students and their work, and we had a section for Newspaper students and their work. Also the photographers got to display their best photos. There were cookies and refreshments and the event was open to anyone who wanted to stop by. But the main attendees were the Journalism Students and their parents. We also set up an Online section to give parents an inside look into how we create videos for our website. Our Adviser, Dow Tate spoke to the audience at the end of the night and we had raffle drawings for free Yearbooks and Newspaper subscriptions.
