Gallery: Boys Varsity Soccer Defeats Schlagle 10-0 in the First Round of the Kamo Tournament

Putting the mercy rule in effect after only the first half, the boys varsity soccer team defeats Schagle 10-0 in Round 1 of the annual Kamo Tournament. Senior Jack Lucas sends the ball into the net within the first 50 seconds, starting the scoring streak early. Within the first five minutes, the Lancers were ahead 2-0. In possession of the ball for the majority of the half, the Lancers scored nine more times with goals from seniors Robbie Cotton, Willan Shrock, Ryan Grinstead, Ike Sheets and junior Beck Rettenmaier. After the conclusion of the first half, the mercy rule was put into effect for the first time this season and the game ended with the Lancers in the lead 10-0.

After winning in round 1, the team advances to the semi-finals taking place on Thursday, Sept 8 at 4:30 pm. They will face Blue Valley High School at SMAC.
