Gallery: Boys Varsity Lacrosse falls to Rockhurst in the LAKC Championship

In the LAKC championship the Shawnee Mission East Lancers devastatingly lost to the Rockhurst Hawklets 6-17. The big rival game took place at Swope Park stadium and had many fans from both Rockhurst and East. The hawklets came out of the gate strong, starting the game with a 4-0 lead. East was able to come within three goals of Rockhurst, but ultimately the hawklets prevailed and went on to score 13 more goals. The lancers scored two goals in the first quarter, three goals in the second quarter, one goal in the third quarter and zero goals in the fourth quarter to bring their goal count to six. East had beat Rockhurst earlier in the regular season 12-9 but was not able to get the same result this time around. This would have been the lancer’s sixth championship title had they won.
