After winning the 6A state title last year, the boys bowling team returned to compete in the KSHSAA state tournament at Northrock Lanes in Wichita last Friday. Nine 6A school teams competed in the event, consisting of three individual games and a team Baker round. After the first two individual games, the Lancers were in sixth place. The Lancers moved up to fifth place after the final individual game and kept their place through the Baker round. The state team, coached by Frederick Elliott, was made up of seniors Mason Craven, Matt Martucci, Zach Sederquist, Jack Shelton, Ben Smith and sophomore Christian Lahey. Lahey earned a fifth place medal individually with a 717 series. Craven placed 16th and Sederquist placed 20th.

Junior Caroline Martucci is excited to be an Assistant Photo Editor for her third year on staff. Caroline’s favorite thing about The Harbinger is the time she spends capturing East events. She plays basketball and tennis at East while serving as class vice president and volunteering as a SHARE chair. Caroline also enjoys traveling and time spent with family and friends. »
