Gallery: Boys Varsity Basketball vs. Shawnee Mission Northwest

The SME Lancers defeated the SMNW Cougars on Friday night with a final score of 66-62. The game began slightly after 6 pm as opposed to the normally scheduled time of 7 pm due to inclement weather. The Lancers maintained a lead over the Cougars for most of the game. The top scorer, junior Nick Arensberg scored a total of 19 points, closely followed by junior Tony Friends, scoring a total of 17 points. During halftime, the cheer team held their senior night, honoring all of their senior cheerleaders and their families. Both teams participated in the theme of pink out, benefiting cancer awareness and research.

Junior Megan Stopperan is a Head Photo Mentor and going into her second year on staff. She is involved with SHARE, Girls Golf, and Orchestra at East. If you can’t find her at East or taking pictures, she’s probably at the golf course. »

Trevor Paulus

Trevor Paulus
Senior Trevor Paulus is ready for his, not exactly normal, 3rd year on staff. This year Trevor is the Head Photo Editor and is excited to take on the challenges this position offers. You can always see Sporting his black camera bag and constantly changing lenses for the perfect shot. Besides Harbinger, Trevor is involved in Chinese Club, NHS, NCHS, Share, Playing tennis or staying active. If you don't see him with a camera he is most likely blasting music while driving around with friends. »

Taylor Keal

Taylor Keal
Beginning her third year on the Harbinger staff as a photo mentor, Taylor Keal is excited to get back in the swing of shooting clubs, games, classes, and other east events. Taylor enjoys photography so much that she even started carrying around a small yellow digital camera with her wherever she goes to capture the best moments. When she’s not behind the camera, she is at her studio, Starstruck, dancing. In between dancing and photoing you can find Taylor participating in her other activities which include student store, DECA, SHARE, LINK crew and NHS. Outside of activities, Taylor enjoys hanging out with friends, taking naps, and going to McDonalds. »
