Gallery: Boys Varsity Basketball vs. Rockhurst

The Boys Varsity basketball team was defeated by the Rockhurst Hawklets 44-60 on Friday night. The highest scorer of the night was junior Tony Friends, with a total of 13 points scored. Despite performing their best in the first half, with a total of 10 points scored, the Lancers trailed the Hawklets going into halftime with a score of 23-28. Throughout the game, the lead switched between teams a total of eight times and Rockhurst held the largest lead, of 17 points, in the fourth quarter. The Lancer pep club theme for the game was Chefs, and students wore aprons, chef hats, and carried an assortment of kitchen utensils. Also announced at the game was that SM East had won the Coaches vs. Cancer competition fundraiser hosted by Chick-fil-a throughout the week.
